Duties of Editors
Fair play and editorial independence
Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit (significance, originality, clarity, and validity) and their alignment with the journal's scope, without bias related to the authors’ ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, political beliefs, or institutional affiliations. Editorial decisions are made independently, free from the influence of external bodies. The Editor-in-Chief exercises full control over the editorial content of the journal and the schedule for publication.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must ensure that no details about a submitted manuscript are disclosed to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, and appropriate editorial advisors. Information about submissions is treated with strict confidentiality unless necessary for the review and publication process.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Editors must not utilize unpublished materials from a submitted manuscript for personal or professional use without explicit written consent from the authors. Should a conflict of interest arise, the editor must recuse themselves and delegate the manuscript to another editor to ensure unbiased decision-making.
Publication decisions
All manuscripts considered for publication undergo a rigorous peer review process involving at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The Editor-in-Chief bases publication decisions on the manuscript’s quality, reviewer comments, and compliance with ethical guidelines regarding plagiarism, copyright, and defamation.
